I’m back!

Yes, it’s been a while, thought a bit of a break was needed as I started a new job.

I’m back working full time, well I haven’t been employed since 2010 and I haven’t worked full time since 2000!

It’s meant big changes in our house, some that I will share on here soon. Mainly, it means I’m out of the house from 7 in the morning till 6 at night so the kids have had to become more independent, which isn’t a bad thing!

Anyway, enough about that.

Here are some of my favourite posts from the past week…

Healthy snacks

Healthy Snacks

Making sure we’re all eating well is important, especially now that time is so limited. So I’ve been searching for some great snack ideas to keep the kids happy till I get home to finish off tea.

If I’m not careful they’ll just fill up on crisps and biscuits so having some healthy snacks prepped and to hand is something I am working on.

I found this great post that is mainly aimed at adults but I think my three will enjoy them too. Jordan over at Fun Cheap or Free shared her 20 favourite healthy snack ideas this past week. This is a new blog I recently found and I love watching her stories over on Instagram too.

food you cxna freeze

Freeze

There is a bit of a theme appearing in this weeks posts, food! Finding meals that I can prepare ahead and then heat up when I get home makes life as a working mum so much easier. I’m still at the research stage but over the next couple of weeks, I hope to have some ready to go.

Over on One Good Thing by Jillee, she shares 6 things you might not have known you could freeze. This is something else I’m trying to get better at, stocking up on essentials so I don’t have to keep stopping on the way home from work.

Crafting as a hobby

Crafty Time

I recently bought a Cricut as I wanted to restart my crafting time. I think it’s important to have hobbies so alongside writing and blogging I have always enjoyed crafting.

I discovered Cricut’s amazing machines about a year ago and have been on the lookout for one for myself to play around with. Luckily a friend was selling hers so I jumped at the chance of having one for myself.

So, I’ve been looking for easy to start with makes and this posts from Simple Made Pretty has 32 easy beginners projects too make. The one I’m looking forward to trying is the Giant Paper Flowers.

Hope you’ve had a great week and hope to see you next time…
