Sunday Faves December 22nd

Festive mantle

3 more sleeps, how can that even be possible?

If you read last weeks Sunday Faves post you may be wondering if we have actually gotten our tree up yet? Yes, she’s up and she’s a beauty. My daughter has done the most amazing job decorating it all by herself.

This week has been a week of ends. Where I work outside of writing closes for the winter months so I knew that this end was coming. What I didn’t know was that I’d be starting a new job hopefully early February. More on this another day!

I’ve also spent most of this week planning ahead for the new year and decade. 2020 is looking to be a great year, especially if my tarot card reading from the other night pans out. More on this in another post soon too!

On to this weeks Sunday Faves…

Festive Bakes

Now I’m not working so much outside the house for the next month, I plan to do some more baking. Looking for unusual recipes is something I like to do and trying new things is a great way to improve your baking skills.

I was searching through some of my favourite blogs not particularly looking for a recipe when this delicious sounding Orange and Cranberry Cinnamon Roll recipe popped up from PNW Pixie. Is there anything more festive than oranges and cranberries?

Final Gift Guide

If you’re like me, you’ve still got lots of gifts to source. Now, I have really parred down the number of gifts I’ve brought but I still have a few left to get.

I love essential oils, and giving natural gifts is something I am also focusing on this year, so when I stumbled on this essential oils gift guide from Using Essential Oils Safely, I knew I had to share it here. My fave is the necklace, hoping Santa may have one for me this year.

Natural Holiday Home

Creating a comfy and cosy environment in our homes is one of the best things about the festive season. Doing this without impacting our environment is important to me. So finding natural ways to create the holiday spirit is the perfect solution.

The Herbal Acadamy is a wealth of herbal information and they recently shared a post on 8 ways you can create a natural holiday home. There are some really great ideas on how you can use nature to create gifts as well as decorations.

Have a wonderful festive week…
